Do I need my own AI provider?
Yes. ChatticaAI is a bring-your-own-provider app. Connect a supported service such as OpenRouter or NanoGPT, or a compatible local setup such as LM Studio. This keeps the model choice and usage costs under your control.
Is my chat data stored in the cloud?
ChatticaAI stores your characters, conversations, settings, and media locally on your device. Requests are sent directly to the AI or media provider you configure; those providers have their own privacy policies.
What can I import?
You can import supported PNG character cards, JSON, CHARX, character cards from a URL, SillyTavern chat exports, and ChatticaAI backups or chat archives. The exact options vary by feature and plan; the Help Center has step-by-step guides.
What is Adventure Mode?
Adventure Mode is a guided, turn-based roleplaying experience. Build a party, face encounters with initiative order, choose from suggested actions or write your own, and confirm every dice roll yourself—the narrator tracks scenes, locations, and progression as you play.
How does character memory work?
ChatticaAI can extract summaries and durable memories from your conversations. You can review proposed updates, edit stored details, filter memories, retry failed extractions, or rebuild them from a full chat.
Can I use ChatticaAI on a tablet or PC?
ChatticaAI is designed for phones and tablets on iOS, iPadOS, and Android. A native Windows desktop edition is in preparation; visit the Desktop page for release status and architecture guidance.
